Here at Acroprint, we operate according to four principles:

We even have those principles printed on the back of our employee ID cards, so we carry them with us all the time to remind us of how we choose to do business here. Beyond that, though, we also like to set special company goals every year.
Yeah, yeah, I know, a lot of companies set goals. Yours may be one of them. But at least for most of the companies where I’ve worked during my career, those goals are sort of like our individual New Years resolutions: a lot of fanfare at the beginning of the year, but all-too-soon forgotten.
We do things just a little differently here, though. At the start of each new year, we print up our company principles, our mission statement and our goals for the year on a giant poster. We have a big company meeting to go over how we did on our previous year’s goals and to go over the coming year’s goals. We all sign the poster… then it gets hung on the wall outside our break room, where we all will see it, probably several times a day.
It’s a good way to remind us of what makes us special as a company and to help us stay focused on our goals. (And it makes for a cool and colorful bit of wall art!)
